Society needs nurse health care. At the center of the health care system is the nurse. Nurses wears many hats. The nurse has to communicate effectively with the doctor and help her patient understand what is going in with his or her health care.

Nurses works under the supervision of the doctor and is responsible for updating the doctor of patient improvement or deterioration. The nurse must make sure that her patients are examined at all times. The nurse must note all the changes the patient goes through. This includes physical as well as emotional changes.

The nurse has to record all the changes the patient experiences. Most people do not realize that a nurse puts together a health care plan for each patient and makes sure that the plan is carried out to the best of her ability.

The doctor relies heavily on the nurse because she is responsible for recording the vital statistics of each patient. The doctor needs to trust that the chart for each patient is accurately and completely filled out by the nurse. The doctor simply would not be able to do his or her job without the help from the nurse.

A nurse must keep watchful eyes on her patients and track their progress and inform the doctor if there is a change for the worse. Many problems have been averted because of a watchful and prudent nurse who was quick to call a doctor because a patient was in trouble.

A nurse has also to be a good instructor. She has to instruct patients about the types of medications the patient needs to take or the physical therapy he or she needs to go through in order to recover from an injury or accident. Nurses are an integral part of our health care system.
